I am. To me it seems pretty simple – we don’t want to reduce ourselves as a society to the point where we intentionally (or even negligently) inflict physical pain on people if it can be avoided. It is barbaric.

Any local hospital would tell you it is easy to put someone under, they do it hundreds of times every day. Is that too much to require of our executions…that the person being executed is unconscious when they are killed?
